Category C - HGV Training

To obtain an HGV Category C (Class 2) licence, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a full car licence.

The next stage to obtain a provisional HGV licence, would be to have a medical examination which will need to be undertaken and the completed forms sent to the DVLA.

Category C (rigid)

Category C enables you to drive a rigid vehicle up to 32 Tonnes. Category C (rigid) is usually conducted over 4/5 days, with practical test on day 4/5. This allows for 4 hours of one-to-one training with the candidate each day.

We can offer you a 16hour course which is ran over 4 days or a 20hour course which is ran over 5 days. Your reverse test (Module 3A test) would be on 3/4 day and the on the road test (module 3B test) would be on the last day of training.
